Dialectical Behavioral Therapy

DBT incorporates concepts of dialectical strategies, validation, and acceptance to affect change and improve daily functioning...

DBT was created by Marsha M. Linehan, Ph.D in the 1970s and has been highly successful in helping individuals with severe emotional dysregulation learn to manage their emotions and take control of their lives. Since its inception the treatment has expanded and is widely used for a broad array of mental health disorders. I am utilizing the research backed treatment for an even larger population of clients and teaching clients the fundamental skills that are beneficial for EVERYONE looking to make a change in their life, reach a goal, or learn to live a happier existence

It is an evidence-based treatment created by Marsha M. Linehan, Ph.D. DBT focuses on educating clients in the areas of Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation, and Interpersonal Effectiveness.
